Hitting a record low dating back to April, 5,564 homes were sold in the Bay Area market over the last 30 days. This represents a 5.1% decrease and comes on top of a three-week steady downturn in sales activity. Leading the way in terms of contribution was Santa Clara County with 1,200 sales. The median sales price rose to $715,000 over the latest reporting period for the Bay Area Metro Area, up from $710,000. There is only one month of inventory available in the Bay Area Metro Area, so it's still definite seller's market, even with the shrinking sales numbers.
