Monroe County Real Estate Market Extends Downward Trend in New Listings

The Monroe County market will be less selective in the coming weeks. Sales rose this week to 14 homes sold over the last 30 days, and there is a budding downward trend in the number of new listings, with 11 going live in the same time frame. All indications show that the trend may be coming to an end, meaning more new listings over the next few weeks. While new seller numbers were weak, the median sales price of homes sold came in at $151,625, which extended a downward swing in price to four weeks. Even after the uptick in sales, an elevated eight months of inventory tells us that Monroe County is still a definite buyer's market.
