The Schenectady County market was active in this week's report, as the number of home sales climbed 2.0%, pushing the total to 153 homes sold over the last 30 days. At the same time, Albany County reported 269 home sales, the highest number from all the surrounding counties. Prices are rising in Schenectady County, and the median sales price this period increased from $141,500 to $148,500. Even after the uptick in sales, an elevated seven months of inventory tells us that Schenectady County is still a strong buyer's market.
