In this week's report, the number of homes sold in the Whatcom County market fell to 332 over the past 30 days, a decrease of 2.4% from last week's report, but still above the monthly average. On the other hand, close-by King County registered 3,050 home sales in the same period, the most of all surrounding counties. Prices are falling in Whatcom County, and this period the median price of all sales fell from $299,000 to $297,500. Despite the slip in sales, a relatively low three months of inventory indicates that Whatcom County is a seller's market.
