The Petersburg market got good news in this week's report, as the number of home sales rocketed 30.0%, pushing the total to 26 homes sold over the last 30 days. Within the same time frame, Richmond had 212 sales, the most of all cities in the area. The price of homes sold went down with the average selling price hitting a nine-month low at $30,000. Even after the uptick in sales, an elevated seven months of inventory tells us that Petersburg is still a definite buyer's market.
