The Silver Spring market showed no signs of halting a six-week downward contraction, with a record low 47 homes sold in the last 30 days. Sales showed a 9.6% decrease from the prior period, returning to a low not seen since April. During the same time frame, Washington had the most of any other neighboring municipalities with 631 sales. The median sales price dropped to $435,000, down from last week's $438,000. With only three months of inventory to sell, Silver Spring is a still seller's market, even after taking into consideration the falling sales numbers.
