The Silverton market closed in on its 12-month sales average this week as sales rose 14.3% to reach eight homes sold over the last 30 days. Within the same time frame, Salem had 33 sales, the most of all cities in the area. The median sales price dropped to $237,950, down from last week's $244,900. Along with the increase in sales, the fact that there are a lower-than-normal three months of inventory indicates that Silverton is a seller's market.
