The Palm Desert market closed in on its 12-month sales average this week with 114 homes sold over the last 30 days. To put it in perspective, close-by Palm Springs registered 127 homes sold in the same time frame, the most of all surrounding cities. The median sales price dropped to $307,500, down from last week's $325,000. Palm Desert is still a definite buyer's market, due to the availability of seven months of remaining inventory, even after the uptick in sales.
