Sales Decline in Canaan Real Estate Market

The Canaan market pulled back with a 66.7% sales drop in this week's report. However, overall sales numbers for the last 30 days remained above the monthly average (0.9) with one home sold. Within the same time frame, Westfield had 36 sales, the most of all cities in the area. Prices are falling in Canaan, and this period the median price of all sales fell from $280,000 to $210,000. Canaan is a definite buyer's market, due to a big 30 months of inventory left and aided by the dip in sales.
