Meanwhile, close-by Chicago reported 2,488 homes sales, the highest number from all the surrounding cities. The median sales price dropped to $545,000, extending an eight-week long spiral. Wilmette is a definite buyer's market, due to falling prices and a large seven months of inventory left.
