A 17-week downturn continued after the DC Metro Area market recorded 5,677 home sales over the last 30 days. Since the prior period, a record low 6,071 new listings came on, the fewest since February. With a total of 911 new listings, Fairfax County contributed the most. The median sales price climbed to $365,000 over the latest reporting period for the DC Metro Area, up from $364,000. There are only three months of inventory available in the DC Metro Area, and combined with shrinking new listings numbers, it's a seller's market.
