Home sales in the Alameda County market remained soft in this week's report as they slid 14.5% to 923 homes sold over the last 30 days. On the other hand, close-by Santa Clara County registered 856 home sales in the same period, the most of all surrounding counties. The median sales price dropped to $680,000, down from last week's $682,500. Despite the slip in sales, a relatively low one month of inventory indicates that Alameda County is a strong seller's market.
