In this week's report, the number of homes sold in the DC Metro Area market dropped to 5,300 over the past 30 days. It marked a decrease of 9.6% from last week's report and another period below the monthly average. Fairfax County was the most popular part of the DC Metro Area, with 883 homes sold. Potential buyers should note that prices are coming down in the DC Metro Area, and for this period the median sales price slid from $370,585 to $370,000. In spite of the decrease in sales, a low three months of inventory signals that the DC Metro Area is a seller's market.
