The Palm Desert market pulled back with a 5.8% sales drop in this week's report. Overall sales numbers for the last 30 days remained below the 121.7 monthly average with 114 homes sold. On the other hand, close-by Palm Springs registered 135 homes sold in the same time frame, the most of all surrounding cities. The median sales price dropped to $282,000 over the latest reporting period for Palm Desert, down from $290,000. Palm Desert is a definite buyer's market, thanks to a big eight months of inventory to choose from and a pullback in sales.
