A five-week negative trend in the number of homes sold was extended this week after the Vacaville market had 94 transactions over the last 30 days. With 36 price reductions, the lowest amount since last January, the market may be finding a price bottom. When comparing other close-by municipalities within the same period, the most came from Vallejo with 37 price reductions. However, a six-week downward trend in pending transactions is expected to come to an end over the coming weeks. The median sales price dropped to $395,000, down from last week's $399,944. With only one month of inventory to sell, Vacaville is a still solid seller's market, even after taking into consideration the falling contracts numbers.
