In this week's report, the number of homes sold in the West Laurel market fell to five over the past 30 days. It marked a decrease of 16.7% from last week's report and a fall below the monthly average. Within the same time frame, Columbia had 97 sales, the most of all cities in the area. Potential buyers should note that prices are coming down in West Laurel, and for this period the median sales price slid from $459,499 to $345,000. In spite of the decrease in sales, a low three months of inventory signals that West Laurel is a seller's market.
