The Bay Shore market slowed with a 6.7% sales drop in this week's report. Overall sales numbers for the last 30 days fell below the 14.2 monthly average with 14 homes sold. Within the same time frame, West Islip had 32 sales, the most of all cities in the area. Prices are rising in Bay Shore, and the median sales price this period increased from $306,000 to $336,000. Bay Shore is a strong buyer's market, thanks to a big eight months of inventory to choose from and a pullback in sales.
