The Chevy Chase market closed in on its 12-month sales average this week as sales rose 23.1% to reach 16 homes sold over the last 30 days. Within the same time frame, the Catholic University-Brookland neighborhood had 55 sales, the most of all neighborhoods in the area. Potential buyers should note that prices are coming down in Chevy Chase, and for this period the median sales price slid from $1,140,000 to $1,105,000. Along with the increase in sales, the fact that there are a lower-than-normal two months of inventory indicates that Chevy Chase is a strong seller's market.
