The Central Boston market pulled back with a 6.6% sales drop in this week's report. However, overall sales numbers for the last 30 days remained above the monthly average (39.2) with 57 homes sold. On the other hand, the close-by South Boston neighborhood registered 85 homes sold in those same 30 days, the most of all surrounding neighborhoods. Potential buyers should note that prices are coming down in Central Boston, and for this period the median sales price slid from $1,485,000 to $1,120,000. There are only two months of inventory available in Central Boston, so it's a definite seller's market, even with the decrease in sales.
