New listings have fallen in the Kern County market, reaching a low that hasn't been seen since last January. They also had a 30-day tally of 57 sales. In comparison, Los Angeles County had 3,938 new listings in the same time frame, the most of all nearby counties. As the weak new listing numbers suggest, months of inventory is on a four-week downward trend, this week hitting seven months. Despite the uptick in sales, the large amount of remaining inventory indicates that Kern County is still a solid buyer's market.
