Kern County Real Estate Market Continues Weakening in Home Prices

The Kern County market pulled back this week but was still better than normal as sales slid 8.0% to 69 homes sold over the last 30 days. In comparison, nearby Los Angeles County had 6,383 sales in the same time frame, the most of all neighboring counties. Prices fell lower as this week's reported median sales price of $170,000 continued a four-week downward trend. Kern County is a solid buyer's market, due to falling prices and a large 11 months of inventory left.
