About Homesnap

Homesnap is a trusted real estate search platform for people to explore homes and search MLS real estate listings online or from a mobile phone. Homesnap is powered by a specialized homes database that combines hundreds of disparate sources of data, including MLS real estate databases representing over 75% of America’s homes, property tax records, census data, geographic boundaries, property polygons, school information, mortgage rates and more. Homesnap features homes for sale, open houses, recent sales, and house values for every home in the United States.

Homesnap is the easiest way to search for timely, accurate real estate information. The Homesnap app allows users with a smartphone or tablet to snap a photo of any home to get the scoop: home value, interior photos, bedrooms, bathrooms, taxes, lot boundaries, public school info, and much more.

Homesnap Pro is an agent-only version of Homesnap that offers real-time MLS data to Android and iOS users on smartphones and tablets, arming them with the power of their MLS while they are in the field. Homesnap Pro gives agents the flexibility to research homes, contact agents, and communicate instantly with clients from their mobile devices. Agents and consumers can use Homesnap Pro to seamlessly share real-estate information and communicate directly.

Homesnap was founded in 2008 and is based in Washington DC. Homesnap is backed by venture investors, including Washington, D.C.-based Revolution Ventures, which is led by Steve Case, Tige Savage and David Golden.

Executive Team Bios

Guy Wolcott – CEO, Co-Founder

Guy Wolcott is Homesnap’s co-founder and CEO. He built the original in his basement on nights and weekends. Today, he steers Homesnap's vision and leads the development team.

A serial entrepreneur, Guy co-founded consumer software company AbleSoft in 1991 at the age of 19, selling to Microleague Multimedia in 1995. He then founded Internet developer Rocketworks, creating consumer-oriented sites and technology for clients like Microsoft, Ford Motor Company, Capital One, Black Entertainment Television and several well-received startups from the original dotcom era.

Since 2004, he has been intimately involved in residential real estate as co-owner of the mortgage company Flex Funding and as an active real estate investor around Washington, D.C. Guy has twice been named one of the “100 Most Influential People in Real Estate” by Inman News.

Steve Barnes – President, Co-Founder

Steve Barnes is Homesnap’s co-founder and President. He has been involved in thousands of real estate transactions, from all angles: brokerage, mortgage and settlement. Steve oversees Homesnap's strategy and operations as well as data acquisition and business development initiatives.

In 2003, Steve founded Flex Funding, a mortgage company operating throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Steve also co-founded, the first online marketplace for real estate closings in the United States. He served as Managing Director for Veris Consulting, overseeing the company’s commercial real estate operations.

Early in his career, Steve served as a settlement attorney in Washington, DC. He received both his law degree and undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and is a member of the Maryland Bar.

Jason Mathias - COO

Jason is Homesnap's Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for overseeing Homesnap's business functions. He brings with him 18 years of sales, marketing and operational experience. Jason is a strong operator with deep experience growing and scaling revenue generating teams.

Prior to Homesnap, Jason was the VP of Revenue Operations at LivingSocial where he led all operational and inside sales functions. Before LivingSocial, Jason held a variety of sales and marketing leadership roles at HomeAway Inc. and Dell Inc. Jason holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

When not driving revenue growth, you likely find Jason outdoors with his wife and three wonderful children.

Lou Mintzer – SVP, Product Development

Lou Mintzer is Homesnap's Senior Vice President of Product Development. He is a technical web and mobile product builder with significant management, programming and analysis experience. Lou leads the technical team that designs and builds Homesnap's award-winning web products and mobile apps.

Before joining Homesnap, Lou worked at AOL, where he specialized in web performance optimization. Prior to AOL, Lou was a programmer at IBM. He received his undergraduate degree from Penn State and his MBA from the University of Maryland.

Dave Gildea – VP, Real Estate Operations

Dave Gildea is Homesnap's Vice President of Real Estate Operations. He personally oversees all real estate transactions and manages corporate compliance (including MLS and Realtor Association memberships). Dave also manages the Homesnap Advisor team that handles all customer communication and agent interaction.

Prior to joining Homesnap, Dave spent a decade in the golf industry working for the PGA Tour and The Golf Digest Companies. He began his career in real estate in 2004, becoming both a mortgage loan officer and real estate agent. Dave graduated from The College of William & Mary.

Gayle Weiswasser – VP, Marketing and Social Engagement

Gayle Weiswasser is Vice President, Marketing and Social Engagement for Homesnap. She manages earned, paid and owned communications and marketing for Homesnap, including social media platforms and strategy.

Prior to joining Homesnap, Gayle built and managed the in-house social media team at Discovery Communications. She also managed social media strategy for a variety of corporate and entertainment clients at Arlington, VA-based crisis communications firm The McGinn Group.

She practiced law for 8 years in San Francisco and Washington, DC, including intellectual property litigation and transactional law. Gayle has a B.A. from Brown University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Tim Condon - VP, Engagement & Revenue

Tim Condon is VP, Engagement & Revenue for Homesnap. He manages many of the tactics designed to get agents to use Homesnap on a regular basis. He also oversees all revenue programs and revenue operations for agent and broker premium products.

Prior to joining Homesnap, he was the Director of New Ventures at The Washington Post where he built several new businesses, including The Capitol Deal, which grew to the third largest deal site in the DC metro area and was known as the deal site that gave away 100,000 pizzas.

Tim has an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from New York University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.

Stephanie Rall - VP, Industry Relations

Stephanie Rall is the Vice President of Industry Relations with Homesnap and is responsible for creating and maintaining MLS, Association, Brokerage and Agent relationships nationally as well as speaking on and performing trainings related to the use of Homesnap Pro.

Stephanie has been in the real estate industry for more than 20 years. She is an active licensed Broker in the State of Maryland. She is a former Board President for Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors, a former MAR Executive Committee member and Director and a former NAR Director. She is a member of the Council of Residential Specialist (CRS) and also holds the e-PRO, GRI and ABR designations. In addition, she is a Graduate of the Maryland Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Maryland University College.

Marc Regardie - VP, Sales

Marc focuses on providing innovative solutions to brokerages and agents to help them better connect to their clients and prospects.

Prior to joining Homesnap, Marc was the founder and CEO of UFollowUp, a Customer Relationship Management software company focused on the new home market. After 10 years, he sold UFollowUp to Lasso Data Systems of Vancouver, Canada. In addition to the software business, Marc has extensive advertising and marketing experience working with various agencies and owning his own firm, The Regardie Group.

A 3rd generation Washingtonian, Marc received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
